 Adult Helpers & Leaders

We need all kind of Volunteers in Scouting, from Parent Helpers who might help organise games or set up tables, right through to Adult and Youth Leaders.

People can join Rovers when they are between 17 and 25 years old.  Usually they are looking to get involved in the outdoors, making friends for life as well as service to the community and Scouting.  Wednesday 8pm  See: http://www.vicrovers.com.au/

Uniforms:

All Scouts in Australia have the same navy blue uniform shirt, with the only difference being the change in colour on the sleeves and collar. Appropriate footwear is needed for fun, adventure and games. Sneakers or sand shoes are good, but bare feet and thongs are not allowed. Scouts are sun smart and will need to wear a bucket hat, baseball cap or similar for summer outdoor activities. For Sail-Days pack a spare set of dry cloths and a warm wind proof jacket.

For most meetings at the Scout Hall and excursions the uniform will be worn and your Section Leader will let you know if there are activities where you will wear casual clothes.

The Scout badges that go on the uniform such as the World Scout badge, Group and District badges are usually presented at their investiture, except for the Achievement Badges which are earned throughout the year.
