ABOUT US

Who We Are

4th Williamstown Sea Scouts is based on the edge of the beautiful Hobsons Bay in Williamstown. We offer a welcoming, inclusive and safe environment for young people to learn new skills, introduce them to the great outdoors, develop their individual potential, and feel a sense of pride, confidence and belonging.

As well as our water-based activities which include sailing, rowing and kayaking we offer traditional land scouting activities such as hiking, camping, pioneering and Jamborees

Our History

4th Williamstown Scout troop formed in the spring of 1926 and by the late 1930's had grown into one of Victoria's largest and most active Sea Scout groups with a purpose built Scout Hall and boat shed, located on edge of Port Phillip Bay in Williamstown, Melbourne.

The Group currently consists of Joey Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venturer Scouts and the Port Phillip Sea Rover Crew. The group scarf is Black with Red and Green tapes, and the Life Buoy Badge is worn on the peak.

4th Williamstown Sea Scouts to this day remains once of the largest (over 100 members) and most active groups on the bay, with a focus on personal development, honesty and fun.
