Saturday 1st of August our Joey group will be having a sleepover in the hall, and will be joined by Joeys from Bacchus Marsh for water activities on Sunday. Cubs, Scouts and Venturers are most welcome to join us on Sunday.

 

Activities will include:

 

• Trips out around Hobsons Bay in both the new power boat and the inflatable

• If we have enough helpers we may also rig a sail boat and do short trips around the Bay

• Paddling around the protected area in canoes and sit-on kayaks

• BBQ lunch provided!

 

The forecast at this stage is for dry weather and slightly warmer than it has been the last weeks,

but crew will need to bring:

 

• Waterproof jacket (in case it does rain and also useful for boat spray)

• Runners or shoes that can get wet (no thongs or Crocs)

• A towel and change of clothes in case you get wet.

 

Assistance from parents to launch and retrieve boats and wrangle kayaks will be most appreciated!

 

The boat shed will be open from 11am and we aim to be packed up by 4pm.
